C.A.R.E. has been providing services to individuals with I/DD for 30 years. We are one of the first Program Approved Service Agencies in Southern Colorado and the ONLY agency specializing in providing care to individuals with extraordinary medical and physical needs.
We have two full-time nurses to ensure our staff and providers receive quality, specialized training in everything from basic personal hygiene to colostomy and gastrostomy care. Our nurses also monitor medications, care plans, develop and implement health/safety protocols, and ensure overall wellness.
We have the most robust training curriculum of any service agency. Our nurses teach using a CNA-model curriculum; including things like positioning, transferring, nail care, oral hygiene, shaving, skin care, standard precautions, dressing, toileting, peri-care, First Aid/ CPR, medication administration, and more.
comprehensive care
Our fleet of wheelchair-accessible vehicles means that you can be as mobile as you want to be. There is no barrier of needing to schedule a ride to go shopping or to go to a doctor appointment. We provide Non-Medical Transportation to and from day programs, and transportation anytime it's needed for errands, shopping, appointments, and activities.
We offer complete benefits coordination. You don't have to worry about personal finances if you don't want to. We serve as an Organizational Representative Payee for almost all of the individuals in our services. We also coordinate benefits like Medicaid, Medicare, and SSI or Social Security. This ensures continuity of care and means less stress for you or your loved one.
Our management teams has spent decades building relationships with care providers, medical suppliers, and case management agencies. We can efficiently coordinate care based on doctor's orders.
